What were you doing on the 1st of April 2021 at round 5:10 am CAT? Most people in SA would be sleeping or getting ready for work. Well a select few were up early to hear themselves on Korean radio.
South Africans and South Koreans joined hands and share some stories for GFN Radio’s 12th Anniversary for the “Afternoon Show with JD” Special Collaboration Show.
On 01st April 2021, GFN radio, based in Gwangju and Yeosu South Korea, celebrated its 12th Anniversary with a full-day broadcast. During the broadcast, South African Host and Creative Producer JD, did a special broadcast on South Africa and South Korea collaboration. He made contact via social media and requested voice clips to be used in the show. The show included some lessons on South Africa, from the National Anthem, to the language/slang.
You can’t have a show about South Africa, without including the latest craze: dancing the Jerusalema.
The hosts were lucky enough to be spoilt with some South African snacks provided by LekkerSaffaSpaza
In-studio, JD was accompanied by South African, Megan from Pretoria and a regular guest, food taster, and honorary South African Hussein.
Two hours of good conversation, Youtube commenting and awesome South African and South Korean music, flew by in the blink of an eye.
